Gluten free personal care

This is a tricky area to navigate. It's pretty surprising how often wheat and oats show up in a personal care product. We'll try to bring you the best of gluten free products, readily available.

Truefitt & Hill shaving lather

OK, shaving cream is shaving cream, right? No way! I grew up in a generation using foam from a can, so I had no idea how good something like this can be. And, I'm cheap. This is the cream for me!

Unlike insipid creams sold everywhere, this one takes a pea-sized amount to get a rich, thick lather that will last several passes. This means a single jar should last a year or so. Your razor glides over the surface of your skin, giving you the closest shave unlike any other.

Truefitt and Hill have been around since the 1800's and have supplied generations of British colonials throught the lands. They use all-natural fragrances that simply smell beautiful yet masculine.

Bottom line: Every man deserves a jar of Truefitt and Hill.

Canus goat milk soap

Here's a wonderful soap with a beautiful scent. Found in the organics section of many popular supermarkets, Canus soothes eczema and rough skin. We use it all the time, and I love showering with it, the scent is clean and the soap leaves your skin soft. The fragrance reminds me of Belgium, I don't know why.

With the exception of 'Olive Oil and Wheat' bars (available in Canada and Europe only), most Canus products are gluten free. As of this writing, I am awaiting confirmation of the products containing glutens, and will update with a final list shortly.

Canus also has a line of skincare products created especially for children, I haven't personally tried them, but I've heard great things about them.

Canus formulates an extremely good product at a reasonable price point. Widely available, Canus is worth a look. If you can't find it locally, check out Canus goat milk products at Amazon.com
